2010/04/01		Since April 2010, JMA has centralized the operation of the research vessels, namely Ryofu Maru and Keifu Maru, in the Headquarters to make high-precision oceanographic observation such as carbon dioxide in the western North Pacific with installing advanced instruments on board for enhanced monitoring of the global warming. The other three vessels, Kofu Maru, Seifu Maru and Chofu Maru, were decommisioned in March 2010.
